Bob’s home page
AAAS Section E Secretary, Professor (retired) of Environmental Studies, and owner of the best dog ever.
- My non-profit oriented resume
- My academic Curriculum Vitae (28 pages, only read if you like lists)
- My researchgate profile – with links to most of my publications
- Kraken Woodworking
- Smithsonian Manastash Internship fundraising
Some other stuff I’d like to highlight.
- Work on the mudflats of Western Australia (and my role)
- A short video taken in the field in 2016
- An essay I published in Science (2020)
- A final article about the AAAS-Pacific Division (I was executive director for its last two years)
- The Institute of Geography and Earth Sciences at the University of Pecs in Hungary. Where I’m an honorary professor.
- Some favorite “sporting” events
- The Bacoon ride. Bacon, bikes, and beer. How can you go wrong?
- The Bataan Death March Memorial Marathon. 26.2 over a mountain in sand. Fun!
- The Krispy Kreme Challenge. 5 miles, 12 donuts, 1 hour. Hilarious.
- The Trail of the Couer d’Alenes – a rails to trails bike path across N. Idaho. Freaking gorgeous.
- The Pine Creek Trail. 62 miles in N. PA running through the PA Grand Canyon. Best bike ride in the east (rails to trails).
- The Dramathon. Whisky (scotch, of course) and a marathon. On my bucket list (the only thing here I haven’t done).
